David Ospina confirms that he wants a move to Fenerbahce
DAVID OSPINA has expressed an interest in making a summer move to Fenerbahce, according to reports.
Milliyet claim that Ospina has 'responded positively to Fenerbahce's uninterrupted interest.'
The Turkish news outlet also reports that Arsenal's second choice keeper sees a potenial transfer to Sarı Kanarya as a 'new adventure.'
"Istanbul may be a new adventure and motivation for me. If my club are persuaded, it’s okay for me,” Ospina said.
And it has also been reported that Arsenal have accepted a £6 million bid for the goalkeeper.
The disgruntled Colombian is believed to have become frustrated by the lack of game time that he is currently given by Arsene Wenger.
The 28-year-old's current contract expires in 2019, but it seems the Medellin-born shot stopper is reluctant to hang around for that long.
If a move is pushed through, Ospina can be expected to earn around £40,000-a week- which in on par with his current earnings.
The former Nice player has featured just 13 times for the Gunners this term, however thhat game time has come predominantly in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
And has only featured twice in the Premier League for Wenger's side this campaign - appearing as a substitute after Petr Cech came off injured against West Brom last month and starting against Manchester City last Sunday.
Ospina is seen as the long-term replacement to Fenerbahce's 35-year-old no1. Volkan Demirel.
He is currently sidelined with a muscular injury and is set to miss Arsenal's clash with Crystal Palace on Monday night.
