Arsenal begin talks with RB Leipzig over summer transfer of winger Emil Forsberg
Arsenal have opened talks over a deal but there is also strong interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid
ARSENAL have reportedly opened talks with RB Leipzig over star man Emil Forsberg.
Swedish paper Expressen claims the playmaker is being lined up by Unai Emery this summer.
Forsberg is valued at a whopping £47million by his club after a couple of impressive seasons in the Bundesliga.
And Arsenal have already begun talks with Leipzig as well as Forsberg’s representatives over a potential move to the Emirates.
However, the report adds the Gunners face stiff competition for the 27-year-old’s signature.
It’s said that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also poised to launch offers after also talking to Forsberg’s agent.
It’s set to be a big summer of change for Arsenal after Emery was confirmed as Arsene Wenger’s appointment.
He is said to be looking at a number of players including Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, West Brom’s Jonny Evans and Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri.

However, Emery is believed to only have a transfer budget worth around £50m after some decadent spending in recent windows.
It means he is likely to sell a number of current players in order to raise funds, with the likes of Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck sweating over their futures.
