Gerard Butler stops to pose with Dumfries cops whilst filming new movie Keepers on home turf

HOLLYWOOD star Gerard Butler proved he is a Law Abiding Citizen as he posed with cops in Dumfries.

The Paisley born actor, 47, stopped for a snap with two female police officers whilst back on home turf filming new movie Keepers.

The fun snap was posted on the Dumfries and Galloway Police Division Facebook page with a caption reading: "While out Chasing Mavericks we bumped into a Family Man and Law Abiding Citizen who also claims to be a part time Bounty Hunter!

"After a quick chat and photo he headed off to continue filming a new movie. P.S We Love You."

Many fans shared the post of the A-lister with his arms around the on-duty cops.

Danielle Gallagher wrote: “So at weekends we will start hanging about with the police.”

Deborah A Lake said: “Nice to see you girls get a decent perk in the tough job you do.”

The encounter comes after the actor was snapped looking rugged and weather beaten as he films in his new movie in Scotland.

Butler was spotted near Kirkcolm in Dumfries and Galloway as production continues on Keepers.
