NFL UK pay tribute to former Sky Sports presenter Kevin Cadle ahead of London game

Fans at NFL UK Live paid their respects to Kevin Cadle who died earlier this week aged 62

NFL UK is paying respects to Sky Sports presenter Kevin Cadle who died on Monday ahead of tomorrow's NFL London game.

Fans packed inside the Mermaid Theatre in London for NFL UK Live which started with an emotional tribute.

A picture of Cadle was projected on the stage as fans gave a standing ovation and applauded the former basketball coach who died unexpectedly aged 62.

NFL UK confirmed Cadle's passing in a tweet earlier this week that read: "We are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Kevin Cadle, a great friend of NFLUK for so long. Our thoughts are with his loved ones."

And tributes on social media came pouring in for the man who the leading force of the NFL gaining momentum in this country.

Cadle will also be remembered tomorrow at Twickenham where the Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams.

The American was the face of NFL in the UK for almost 20 years, presenting Sky Sports' coverage until 2016.

The Buffalo native was a huge fan of his hometown team, growing up just a stones throw away from the War Memorial Stadium and was never scared to show his passion for his team live on air.

Before his career covering the NFL and NBA, Cadle became the most successful coach in UK basketball history - winning over 300 games, 30 titles and eight coach of the year awards during 1984-1997.
