Nemanja Matic told John Terry he would score in the second-half of Chelsea’s win against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon
Blues skipper revealed on Instagram that Serbian star predicted he would find the net in the FA Cup semi-final
NOT many people would have called Nemanja Matic to score in the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Saturday.
After all, the Chelsea midfielder hadn't scored a single goal all season, spanning in 36 games.
But one person DID predict he would find the net... Matic himself.
According to Blues captain John Terry, Matic told him at half-time that he would score in the second-half at Wembley.
Terry took to Instagram to write: "Nemanja Matic. Unbelievable goal mate.
"I was sat next to Nemanja at half time and he said to me that he will score in second half, I would have taken any goal!
"But WOWZA top bins."
Chelsea had been 2-1 up at the time of Matic's premonition thanks to a Willian duo.
Dele Alli netted early in the second half - following Harry Kane's earlier strike - before Eden Hazard gave the Blues the lead once more in a thrilling encounter.
But it was Matic who added the cherry on top five minutes later as his 80th-minute strike arrowed into the 'top bins', as JT put it to send the Blue half of Wembley into raptures.
Chelsea will now face either Arsenal or Manchester City in next month's final, after the pair play on Sunday.
