Arsenal transfer news: Arda Turan targeted in £30million Barcelona raid as Arsene Wenger eyes attacking options
Gunners boss will compete with Inter Milan for Turkish winger who is on the market after failing to secure a first-team spot
ARSENE WENGER has launched a £30million bid for out-of-favour Barcelona forward Arda Turan.
The Turkish flier is on the market this summer after failing to secure a first-team spot at the Nou Camp.
And Arsenal boss Wenger will rival Inter Milan for Turan, 30, as he looks to add firepower for next season.
Barca will let the former Atletico Madrid star - who joined in 2015 - leave but not on the cheap.
Turan is under contract until 2020 and so club chiefs will try and cash in on the benchwarmer.
The 94-cap international retired from Turkey duties earlier this month after clashing with a reporter.

Flying back from a friendly against Macedonia, the former skipper reportedly abused Bilal Mese verbally before aiming punches at him.
CCN Turk quotes Mese as saying: “At first I thought he was joking. Then, one of his punches swung by."
Turan replied by insisting he had made a mistake but had no regrets about his actions.
He said: “I made a mistake while wearing the national team uniform. It was something that should not have happened on the national team plane.
"Do I regret it? No, I feel like a bird because I never forgot what was said about me.
“I am putting an end to my national team career. I am speaking as someone who has served at every level of the national team, who loves his country and is in love with this jersey.”
