EastEnders fans stunned by the shock return of Yolande Trueman after almost a decade off screens
The soap legend is back - and in the middle of all the drama
EASTENDERS fans were stunned when a character from the past made a shock return on Monday night.
Yolande Truman (played by Angela Wynter) arrived back in Albert Square just as Denise Fox was facing a showdown with her Minute Mart bosses.
Patrick Trueman’s ex-wife was trying to help Denise as she faced being reprimanded for her professional misconduct at the local convenience store.
Denise was told she could keep her job as long as she undertook anger management classes – which didn’t go down well with her short fuse.

“No job is worth this. Minute Mart aint the centre of the universe you know,” the feisty character barked at her male superior.
Yolande tried to intervene, warning Denise not to be stupid – which only seemed to anger Denise further.
“You can stick it where the sun don’t shine. ‘Cause I quit!” Denise yelled as she stormed out of the meeting
Yoldane then reprimanded her colleague, stating: “You should learn when to keep your motuh shut. Maybe it’s you who needs to go on this course?”
While the end of Denise’s Minute Mart career was certainly a dramatic moment of the episode, fans were more astonished that Yolande had resurfaced seemingly from nowhere.

“Omg that’s Yolande… where has she been hiding?” asked one fan on Twitter.
“Woooaaaaahhhhhh #Eastenders brings back #Yolande Trueman!! I did not see that coming!” wrote another.
Meanwhile another highlighted the fact it has been almost a decade since Yolande was last on screens.
“YOLANDE IS BACK IN EASTENDERS EVERYTHING FEELS LIKE ITS 2006 AGAIN,” the fan wrote.
Yolande was last seen in 2008 when she left Albert Square to pursue a job at Minute Mart HQ.
While Yolande pursued her career, Patrick remained at home in E20 – and was served divorced papers a year later.
