One cop dead after being gunned down in France capital days before election

AN AK47 wielding gunman has shot and killed one cop in Paris and left two others seriously injured, on the central boulevard of the Champs-Élysée.

At least one attacker, who is thought to have been known to security sources, has been shot dead, the Interior Ministry said.
