Jay Rodriguez could depart Southampton if the club receive the right offer this summer
Striker has struggled to recover from his injury which he picked up in 2014, which ruled him out of the World Cup
JAY RODRIGUEZ could be heading out of Southampton if the right offer comes in for the big striker this summer.
The former Burnley star, 27, is one of several Saints forwards — along with Shane Long and the returning Sam Gallagher — who have struggled for game time.
But Rodriguez would fetch the biggest fee and may be on his way if an offer near £15million lands on the table at St Mary’s.
Stoke are tracking the striker, who joined Saints for £6m in 2012.
Rodriguez only managed to notch six goals in 34 games throughout the season for Southampton.
After hitting a purple patch at St Mary's in 2014, he was on the brink of a call up to the England squad for the World Cup but an injury ruined his chances.

Prior to the tournament he ruptured his knee ligaments and has struggled to recover ever since.
And last season under Claude Puel he found chances in the first-team limited.
Rodriguez only started nine Premier League games last term but appeared as a sub in the top flight 15 times.
