Celtic fans involved in scuffles in Belgium ahead of Anderlecht Champions League clash
Thousands of Celtic supporters descended into Brussels ahead of their Champions League encounter, with a minority involved in unruly scenes.
A MINORITY of fans have clashed ahead of Celtic's Champions League encounter with Anderlecht.
Thousands of Bhoys supporters have been drinking all day in Brussels with the majority of fans in fine voice as they look to bounce back from their drubbing of PSG in their opening fixture.
But there have been isolated scuffles with police required to break up fights with a small section of fans.
One fan is seen running away from trouble with blood dripping down his face.
In the background a bloke is trying to hold back a fellow fan whilst other watch the events unfold.
In another snap a male is seen sprawled out on the floor as police try to diffuse the situation.
Anderlecht warned Celtic before the clash not to travel unless they had a ticket and warned that arrests will be made if they do so.
They want to avoid the same chaos that erupted at the Emirates when 20,000 Cologne supporters arrived in London ahead of their Europa League match with Arsenal.

A statement released by Anderlecht said: "We would like to remind all fans of Celtic FC who will be making the trip to Brussels that it is mandatory to be in possession of a valid match ticket when they are present in the territory of Anderlecht or the neighbouring community of Sint-Gillis/Saint-Gilles.
“All Celtic supporters who can’t show a valid match ticket when asked by the authorities, risk being arrested.”
Celtic go into the match desperate for a win after being thrashed 5-0 by PSG in their opening Group Stage match.
The odds are massively stacked against the Hoops with German giants Bayern Munich also looking to progress from their group.
