WhatsApp software update will FINALLY let people ‘unsend’ embarrassing messages

Recall feature has been on the cards for months, but new rumours suggest it could be rolled out very soon

WHATSAPP is preparing to introduce the ability to "unsend" messages after they've been sent.

Rumours about this face-saving feature have been circulating for months, but it looks as it this life saving feature will finally be rolled out very soon.

The Twitter account WABetaInfo, which shares details of unreleased WhatsApp features, claimed you'll soon be able to "Delete for Everyone" after sending a message.

This feature would be amazing for anyone prone to sending drunken messages.

It claimed the unsend capability will be introduced in the software soon but didn't say which version of the software.

“WhatsApp is finally testing the Delete for Everyone feature: the server finally works and it successfully recalls the message,” said WABetaInfo.

WhatsAppers should be weary as it recently emerged that crooks are using fake WhatsApp texts to snare unsuspecting Brits.

Potential victims receive a notification claiming that the phone owner's subscription has "expired" and they must pay 99p to continue using the service.

When the app first launched in 2010, it did charge a 99p fee after a year's free use - but it has since been scrapped.
