The 22-year-old is entering the final year of his contract in West London and is not thought to be in Antonio Conte's plans.

And according to the Mirror, the Italian manager has been inundated with calls for the midfielder, who made 15 appearances for the Blues last term.

Chalobah, impressed at this summer's Under-21 Euros and has been getting attention from a raft of Premier League clubs.

England were knocked out in the semi-finals by Germany, who ended up winning on penalties and then beating Spain 1-0 in the final.

He had loan spells at Reading and Napoli in 2015-16 but struggled to break into the Chelsea first-team last term.

Chalobah's Chelsea team-mate Tammy Abraham has joined Swansea on loan this summer and could make the move permanent after starring for Bristol City in the Championship last term.

Conte is close to clinching Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco on a £35million deal, meaning Chalobah's opportunities would be reduced further.

Clement will be frustrated by news that Fernando Llorente has broken his arm in an accident while cycling on holiday in Italy.

The Spaniard may miss the start of the season with the club keen to avoid a repeat of last season's relegation scare.
