ANT and Dec hit their golden buzzer tonight as Britain's Got Talent returned.

The hosts were moved to tears by magician Marc Spelmann whose act was inspired by the birth of his daughter Isabella following five years of IVF treatment and his wife's breast cancer diagnosis while pregnant.

Marc got each of the judges to carry out an act at random: David selected a crayon from a box, Amanda created a pattern on a Rubik's cube, Alesha selected a picture card and Simon circled a word in a book.

The magician then gave the audience and judges an insight into the "real magic" of his life as words appeared on the big screen.

It revealed that two years ago Marc's daughter Isabella was born following five years of IVF. To make the her birth even more significant was the fact his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant.

As pictures of adorable Isabella showed on the screen, the judges, hosts and audience were all teary.

The audition was complete when Isabella was seen drawing with a red crayon, the colour David had picked; sleeping with a panda puppet, the same character as on Alesha's card; playing with a Rubik's cube with the same pattern as Amanda made; and finally saying the word Simon circled - "hat".

Everyone was blown away, with Simon saying: "Simon: I have a feeling this act is going to change your life. It was unbelievable."

Alesha added: "I've been doing this show for 7 years and I never ever thought a magic act will move me like that. It was magnificent."

Ant and Dec rushed out from the wings before the judges could vote on putting Marc through and hit the golden buzzer.

Teary Ant hugged Amanda before returning to the stage and telling a delighted Marc: "That was remarkable. Well done."

Dec added that it touched his heart as he hugged the magician.
