Stephanie Davis devastated as she’s forced to watch fellow reality star Megan McKenna soar in the charts as she’s dumped by music producers
STEPHANIE Davis is devastated after music producers she was recording with have stopped working with her - but fellow reality star Megan McKenna's country music career is a runaway success.
TOWIE star Megan had a massive hit with track High Heeled Shoes which went to number one on iTunes, beating Taylor Swift and Pink.
But The Sun Online can reveal producers working with Steph on her musical comeback have stopped working with the CBB star - leaving her upset and "deflated".
"Stephanie has received yet another devastating blow," a friend of the reality star tells The Sun Online exclusively.
"Music producers she was working with have decided to go their separate ways.
"She was hoping for big things and it just never happened. A lot of things were promised but the material and voice just wasn't there."
The friend continued: "After seeing Megan McKenna reach the massive success with her latest ITVBe programme and her position in the charts recently, to say Steph is feeling deflated is an understatement.
"She is concentrating on spending as much quality time with Caben as she can."
REALITY TO POP 9 times reality stars have tried to make it as a singer – from Megan McKenna to Joey Essex
Earlier this year, Steph put new music on Soundcloud, a dance track called Missin' - and promised more would follow shortly.
But since her court case with ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell - who was found guilty of assaulting her last month - she's been busy spending time with son Caben-Albi.
"Steph wants to spend as much quality time with Caben as she can," says her friend.
"Right now, her main job is being a mum to him, but of course she's gutted than her pop career isn't moving forward right now."
"It's hard to see Megan have so much success - that could have been Steph."
Earlier this year, Steph had hinted that her new music could be about Jeremy, with an insider telling The Sun's Bizarre column: “Stephanie is the happiest she has been in months and can’t wait to get in the studio and write some massive heartbreak ballads, these tracks could be explosive.”
But a lot has happened since then - with Steph revealing her pain over miscarrying her and Jeremy's second baby.
But another source close to Steph tells us: "It's not true at all - she has studio sessions lined up when she returns from her holiday."
Steph previously appeared on The X Factor when she was 14 - and came fifth in BBC show Over The Rainbow.
